The drums from Toontrack have good realism of sound and performance, but in my opinion, they sound too soft and refined. It's great when you play nuances and shades, but it is not always appropriate. Sometimes, explosive brightness, hardness and aggression in drumming are required, which is not easy to achieve in this case. The sound engineer needs to sweat to achieve the appropriate sound, using, for example, New York parallel compression, exciters or specific equalizers, such as Pulse-Tec EQs.
