More than a simple preamp, it functions as a complete preprocessing solution that streamlines your workflow and adds a professional finish to raw recordings from the very beginning.

Automatic Gain Staging & Low-End Control

Accurate gain staging is essential, yet often time-consuming. FirePreamp simplifies this process with Detect Input Level, which analyzes your signal and automatically sets an optimal input gain. After leveling, the High Pass Filter within the integrated spectrum analyzer helps you visually remove unnecessary low-frequency rumble. Positioning the filter just below the lowest fundamental frequency preserves important content while creating valuable headroom for later mix stages.

Precision Gating with Spectral Focus

Conventional gates can misfire, especially in complex material. FirePreamp overcomes this with its dedicated Focus control, allowing you to tune the gate to a specific frequency range, such as the fundamental of a snare drum, while minimizing bleed from hi hats or cymbals. Additional parameters including Depth, Ratio, and a finely adjustable Release give you detailed control over sustain and dynamics, delivering clean yet musical results.

Analog Character and Modern Definition

FirePreamp includes two complementary enhancement sections. The Color module introduces subtle to pronounced saturation across four modes ranging from Soft to Rough, enriching the signal with harmonics and presence. The Clarity module applies a modern enhancement algorithm to refine brightness and definition across the spectrum. The result is a clear, polished sound that enhances detail without compromising natural balance.

Dynamic Impact and Transient Control

Add energy and definition to your material before applying compression. The Punch module enhances perceived dynamics with a smooth, analog-inspired character. For detailed shaping of percussive material, the Transient section allows precise control over the attack phase. Whether reducing harshness or increasing impact, the Attack and Resolution controls provide accurate command over the envelope of your sound.

• Simple software activation: No iLok, dongle, or permanent internet connection is required. Activation is handled via license files. You may install and use the software on all your computers, provided you are the registered user.

• Realistic and flexible interface: The photorealistic graphical interface conveys the feel of dedicated hardware while remaining fully adaptable. Resize the plugin window at any time using the control in the lower right corner to optimize screen space or improve visibility.

• 64-bit processing at any sample rate: FirePreamp operates with internal 64-bit audio processing to ensure maximum fidelity and supports all common sample rates, including 192 kHz and above.

• Compatibility notice: This product requires sidechain functionality. Applications that do not support sidechain routing, such as GarageBand, are not fully compatible.

• Automatic sleep mode: The plugin detects periods without relevant signal and temporarily suspends processing to minimize CPU usage, preserving system resources for other tasks.

• Lifetime updates: All future updates are provided free of charge, ensuring long term access to the latest improvements.
