Dynamic Sibilance Controller
Limited-S is a high-quality De-Esser, Enhancer, and harshness controller designed for both mixing and mastering. It uses a unique Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter, eliminating the need for manual adjustments to attack and decay settings. When properly set, de-essing with Limited-S is transparent, focusing on the loudest and most offensive sibilance peaks. It operates as a "fixed threshold" De-Esser, akin to a limiter, avoiding overcompression and under-controlling. Limited-S is versatile on stereo tracks, working on the full mix, Mids, Sides, or individually on Left or Right channels. The High Lift control adds brightness while managing excessive high frequencies, ideal for vocals or overall master enhancement.
With a Sidechain input, Limited-S enables one signal source to "duck" highs in another, useful for maintaining vocal clarity during instrumentals. The plugin intelligently switches between mono and stereo modes to optimize CPU usage.
