Experience the elegance and old-world charm of the Liberty Upright

The Liberty Upright piano is a unique virtual instrument based on a 1915 Koch & Korselt upright grand piano from Bohemia. Known for its rich, resonant sound, it was sampled twice: in its original condition and after fine-tuning. This adds new colors to Pianoverse, enhancing creativity.

The Koch & Korselt piano, featuring a cast iron harp and a solid spruce soundboard, is celebrated for its warm, powerful tone and aesthetic details. It won the Grand Prix at the 1900 Paris Exposition and the gold medal at the 1910 Brussels World's Fair. This particular piano is 100% original and was selected for its beautiful sound.

Recorded at IK studio in Modena, Italy, the process used AKG 414 and DPA microphones to capture the instrument's essence, providing unique new sources for Pianoverse’s effects and environments.

Pianoverse perfectly recreates the experience of playing the world's best pianos, adding an inspiring selection of sound-shaping environments, from iconic to exotic. The Pianoverse series initially consists of 8 remarkable instruments, paired with unique spaces and presets.

In search of more exceptional pianos, IKM will continue to expand the series. You can start with one or two instruments and later add more, discovering endless new inspirations whenever you need them.
