Cherry Audio’s Pro Soloist reimagines the classic ARP monophonic analog synth from 1972 with a modern, fully programmable design. Enhanced by Mark Barton's expert DSP modeling, it retains all 30 presets, expressive controls, and unique architecture of the original, while adding polyphony, splits, layers, a modulation matrix, and studio-quality effects.

In the early '70s, simple monophonic preset synths like the ARP Soloist made analog synthesis accessible. The Pro Soloist, introduced in 1972, was revolutionary, featuring 30 presets and an aftertouch "touch sensor" keyboard, allowing expressive sound manipulation that inspired artists like Genesis, and Tangerine Dream.

Cherry Audio has resurrected this classic with enhanced polyphonic voices, a dual-layer architecture, and a split keyboard mode for richer, stereo soundscapes. The interface retains the original presets but adds new layers of control, including a Super Wave oscillator and a six-slot modulation matrix.

Cherry Audio has even partnered with Tim Shoebridge to create tutorial videos, helping users explore this iconic virtual synthesizer’s full potential.
