As the warm middle voice of the muted Synchron Solo Strings ensemble, Synchron Solo Viola (sordino) enriches every performance with its unmistakable tonal color, brought to life by Anna Firsanova, solo violist of the Vienna Synchron Orchestra, and recorded on the renowned Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage.

The Heart of the String Ensemble

Positioned between the brilliance of the violin and the depth of the cello, the viola provides the harmonic and emotional center of the string family. With the mute attached, its rich, velvety tone becomes even more intimate while retaining the instrument's distinctive warmth and expressive personality.

Synchron Solo Viola (sordino) once again features Anna Firsanova, solo violist of the Vienna Synchron Orchestra. Originally from Moscow, she studied both in Russia and Vienna and currently serves as co-principal violist of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. Her performances can also be heard in numerous film and game productions, including The Acolyte and Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul. Her nuanced interpretation reveals the viola's lyrical and introspective qualities with exceptional realism.

A Complete Muted Palette

Synchron Solo Viola (sordino) offers virtually the same extensive articulation set as the original Synchron Solo Viola, with every articulation recorded entirely with the mute in place. The library includes a wide variety of short articulations such as spiccato, staccato, détaché and ricochet, as well as sustained notes featuring different release variations and expressive slides.

The comprehensive legato collection includes normal, agile, slurred, portamento and zigane performances, complemented by sforzatos, tremolos, trills, harmonics and pizzicatos. Using the Synchron Player's Crossfade Editor, articulations can be blended seamlessly, allowing natural transitions while fully preserving the viola's warm, muted character.

Both the Standard Library and Full Library include the same complete articulation set. The Full Library expands the available microphone setup with additional perspectives, providing greater flexibility for creating anything from intimate chamber recordings to spacious orchestral mixes.
