Rare Synth Treasures with Authentic Vintage Character
The Attic 3 by Soniccouture is an extensive collection of extraordinary electronic instruments from decades past. Rather than focusing on the usual synthesizer classics, this library explores rare, quirky, and sometimes almost forgotten instruments from the history of electronic music.
The collection includes 24 individually sampled instruments, ranging from analog synthesizers and string machines to electronic pianos, transistor organs, and early digital sound generators. Highlights include the Yamaha CS-15, EMS Synthi AKS, Sequential Circuits Split-Eight, Casio CZ-101, ARP Omni 2, Roland RS-202, Solina String Ensemble, and the unusual Suzuki Omnichord.
To capture the individual character of each original instrument as authentically as possible, Soniccouture did not simply sample a handful of notes. Instead, every single key was recorded individually. This preserves the subtle tuning variations, tonal differences, and small imperfections that give vintage hardware its unique personality.
24 Instruments and Over 600 Presets
The Attic 3 offers a wide range of sounds, from warm analog pads, vintage strings, and characterful organs to unusual leads, basses, electronic pianos, and experimental textures. The library includes over 600 presets, including sounds by sound designer Ian Boddy, providing both ready-to-play sounds and plenty of starting points for your own creations.
The instruments combine extensive sampling with modeled filter and envelope behavior. A custom IR reverb processor featuring Soniccouture's impulse response library further expands the sonic possibilities. The Attic 3 is compatible with Kontakt Player and NKS.
