Vintage Enhancer
Type A is a plugin inspired by the legendary Dolby A Trick technique. Originally developed as a tape noise reduction system for recording and playback, the encoding stage became a hidden favorite among engineers who used it as a subtle enhancer instead.
Type A recreates this encoding stage behavior. The signal is split into four bands, dynamically compressed, and blended back with the dry signal. Quieter elements become brighter while louder material stays balanced. The result is added presence and air without distortion or artificial harmonics, delivering a natural enhancement that feels musical rather than processed.
