The VEQ-STU 169 is a three-band equalizer modeled after the EQ section of a second-generation Western European analog mixing console from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Its inductor-based design combines transparent sound with subtle analog coloration, making it suitable for broad tonal adjustments during mixing and mastering. The EQ features fixed low and high shelving bands alongside a sweepable mid band, allowing precise control across a wide frequency range. A high-pass filter further supports signal shaping while preserving the characteristic balance of the original hardware design.
