Vintage Xylophone is a sample library featuring an antique Deagan Xylorimba with rosewood keys, recorded chromatically across three octaves plus six extended notes. Two mallet types, yarn and rubber, offer adjustable hardness for different tonal characteristics. Six microphone positions provide control over the instrument's sound and stereo image, from close, warm recordings to more spacious room perspectives. Six velocity layers and nine round robins per note support dynamic expression and natural repetition. The library uses the VISAGE 3 engine and includes customizable tuning, velocity curves, routing and effects.
