Authentic Reed Sound

Wurly is a plugin inspired by the legendary reed electric pianos of the 60s and 70s, capturing their unmistakable tone, touch, and expressive response. It faithfully recreates both the classic 200 and the later 200A models, delivering everything from soft, bell like warmth to raw, biting attack with the same soulful character that defined countless recordings.

The electric section is built on precise physical modeling of the pickup and reed geometry, combined with detailed control over pickup behavior, envelopes, and the iconic built in tremolo. Mechanical elements such as hammer, key, pedal noise, and clank are shaped using a hybrid of physical models and samples, allowing fine adjustment of every nuance. Carefully sampled speakers from each model can be blended with the direct signal, completing an authentic and deeply playable emulation that works equally well in modern productions and classic styles.
