Deep Synthesis, Rebuilt from the Ground Up
Zebra 3 carries the unmistakable Zebra concept forward, rebuilt from scratch with state of the art technologies spanning analogue modelling, physical modelling and purely digital synthesis. A bold mix of popular and novel sound design possibilities meets a fresh user experience, with an adaptive interface where modules appear only when added and can be organised via drag and drop. Ready for workhorse tasks as well as remarkably deep and complex exploration.
At its core, Zebra 3 is a modular synthesis environment built around its Generator Rack, Modulation system and FX Grid. Oscillators can operate as wavetable engines with up to 16× unison or as additive engines with up to 1024 partials, supported by oscillator effects such as spectral decay, sync and phase remapping. Filters include 13 models, both classic and original, each offering multiple responses, while FM oscillators, modal resonators, comb filters, noise and exciter modules extend into physical modelling synthesis. Modulation is treated as a central element, with envelopes, LFOs, MSEGs, mappers and mod math modules shaping and combining signals, while pitch, gate and trigger operate as full modulation sources. The FX Grid completes the system with delays, multitap delay, reverbs, compressors and more, with per voice send amounts.
