Five Shades of Punk – Straight from New York City
New York Punk EZX brings the raw, direct, and uncompromising drum sound of different punk eras to EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3. Five complete drum kits cover punk, post-punk, hardcore, art rock, and indie – from the unpolished sounds of the 1970s to the aggressive energy of 1990s hardcore.
The drums were sampled by Frank Ferrer (Guns N’ Roses, The Beautiful, The Compulsions) at Flux Studios in New York City. Recording and engineering were handled by legendary New York punk and rock engineer Bob “Nitebob” Czaykowski. Instruments, microphones, outboard gear, drumheads, and dampening were carefully selected to reflect the character of each era.
