Analog Organ and Strings from the late 1970s
RES 09 is a faithful recreation of the Roland RS 09, a late 1970s analog organ and strings machine prized for its lush ensemble, warm string textures, and rich divide down organ sound. Less ubiquitous than other vintage classics, the original RS 09 remains a sought after instrument thanks to its distinctive character. This emulation captures the authentic tone and behavior of the hardware while adding modern refinements for contemporary workflows.
The organ and string sections can be used independently or layered together, with each oscillator adjustable for precise tuning and tonal balance. The classic ensemble effect provides motion and stereo depth, evoking the character of early Roland chorus designs while retaining its own identity. Built on the original Top Octave Generator concept, RES 09 delivers full polyphony with phase locked notes across all octaves, ensuring a solid and coherent sound that only true analog architectures can provide.
