Ample Guitar AGLP ist eine virtuelle E-Gitarre, die auf Samples einer Gibson Les Paul basiert. Die Library verfügt über 6128 Samples, allesamt in 44.1 kHz und in 24 Bit Aufnahmetiefe. Desweiteren bietet Ample Guitar G alle gängigen Spielarten wie z.B. Strumming & Finger Picking und ist zudem mit Effekten wie Reverb, Delay, Phaser, Chorus und Wah ausgestattet. Ein weiteres Feature ist der integrierte Tab Player, der alle gängigen Tabulatur-Formate wiedergeben kann.

AMP Simulator:

• Built-in AMP system, including 5 classic AMP models: Metal Treble (modeled on Mesa Boogie Triple), Lead 800 (modeled on Marshall JCM800), Jazz 120 (modeled on Roland JC120), 65 Twang (modeled on Fender 65 Twin Reverb) and 57 Delight (modeled on Fender 57 Deluxe).
• 7 matching cabinets：1x12 57D, 2x12 65T, 2x12 120, 4x12 60A, 4x12 60B, 4x12 Ro and 4x12 Ri.

The Tab Player can load and play several prevalent guitar tablature file formats. Users can load, display and playback any specific track inside a tablature file. When used in DAWs, the Tab Player also allows users to export the tablature as an audio file.

Amplesound Ample Guitar G2 liefert liefert einen dynamischen, abwechslungsreichen Klang, der sich auch mit den besten virtuellen Gitarren messen kann. Vier Velocity-Layer und Round Robins, die nach einem rhombischen Verteilungsalgorithmus automatisch ausgesucht werden, bewirken, dass in der Praxis keine Note wie die andere klingt.

Fazit:

Die AGG Software kommt mit der original Schaltung für die Tonabnehmer daher und bietet einen guten Klang. Auch hier sollte man mit dem Einsatz von virtuellen Stomp Boxen und Amps vorsichtig umgehen, denn sonst klingt es schnell vermatscht. Für virtuelle Aufnahmen sollte eine MIDI Gitarre, anstelle eines Keyboards eingesetzt werden. Damit läßt sich noch mehr aus der Software heraus kitzeln.
