Atelier Series Austin Saxes ist eine authentische Legato-Saxophon Library, die von dem Session-Spieler und Dozenten Colin Houlihan eingespielt wurde.

Diese Library wurde in den Orb Studios in Austin/Texas aufgenommen. Das Ziel dieses Projekts war es, eine umfangreiche Saxophon-Library zu schaffen, die eine Vielzahl von musikalischen Aufgaben mit Leichtigkeit bewältigen kann. Spielen Sie einfach Ihre Parts ein und drehen Sie das Modwheel!

Genau wie bei der Sasaki-Trompete haben Musical Sampling das natürliche, progressive Vibrato von Colins Performance eingefangen, um alles so musikalisch und authentisch wie möglich zu halten. Sie haben zudem sowohl ungestimmte als auch gestimmte Varianten der Patches bereitgestellt - erstere behalten die natürlichen Tonhöhenverschiebungen im gesamten Bereich des Instruments bei.

Musical Sampling have included two playing styles. The Workhorse patches cater to upbeat, energetic contexts. Great for jazz, rock and pop genres. The Emotional patches were recorded soft with a more subtle, emotive vibrato for delicate and expressive passages.

What Is The Altelier Series?

Oftentimes during the research and experimental phase of development, Musical Sampling creates instruments that don’t necessarily belong to a bigger, themed release. Instead of attempting to shoehorn them into a future release or trying to construct a comprehensive product around it, they decided to create the Atelier Series so that other composers can enjoy their explorations in sample development as well.

Despite comments by another reviewer, I found installation to be a breeze!More importantly, this just sounds really, really good and is easy to play. I absolutely love the soft/emotional tenor patch, which is breathy and lovely and has a really intimate tone (I'm sure the faint pad noises help). I'd love to compare it to the Tenor Colossus, which I'm sure is more versatile as tenors go - but you get a huge amount for your money here, covering soprano, alto, tenor, and bari saxes.

Finally a Legato (Expressive) Sax library that sounds how you have it in your head. Usually on other libraries you get more of a clarinet_esque sound particularly on the soprano/alto range, here they are present. It misses a bit the "growl" and the "bend" for a full fledge product but as they explained, the focus was legato, and they nailed it. For the gentleman and everyone as a piece of advice, this library like other companies, does not get installed via Native Access. You install Pulse Downloader and serial is for downloading it. Hence, you have to load instruments either from the Files tab, or direct from any folder, or in a smart workflow, just add them to quickload and have them at hand. And everyone, get Sasaki Trumpet too, I know I will.

Absolutely terrible installation. I can't install either instrument. Wasted my money with this stupid company.Both Serial numbers are formatted completely differently, and neither one works.
