Zwei ähnliche, aber unterschiedliche Instrumente, die in ihren Ursprüngen rund um den Globus reichen. Die Bouzouki aus der Ägäis und der Ronroco aus Lateinamerika kommen über die Meere hinweg zusammen. Die metallischen Klänge der Bouzouki und der idyllische Klang des Ronroco entfachen ein wunderschönes, wenn auch ungleiches Timbre.

Die Instrumente

Ronroco - Die aggressiven Saitenschläge dieses Andeninstruments erinnern an die weiten, unbezähmbaren Landschaften Patagoniens und darüber hinaus. Das Ronroco ist größer als ein Charango und hat zwei Saiten. Die höheren Saitenpaare verdoppeln sich im Unisono, die tieferen in Oktaven und erzeugen so einen mystischen, weltfremden Klang. 

Bouzouki - Die traditionelle Langhalslaute mit Metallsaiten, die als moderne Bouzouki bekannt ist, wurde Anfang der 1910er Jahre in Griechenland entwickelt. Die Einheimischen modifizierten sie so, dass sie mit Stahlsaiten gespielt werden kann, und verliehen ihr so ihren charakteristischen schrillen Klang.
