Eine detailgetreue Nachbildung des CS-80

Der GX-80 ist nicht nur eine weitere Emulation des CS-80. Die enormen Dual-Layer des GX-1, die zusätzlichen Wellenformen und die charakteristischen Filter wurden in den GX-80 übernommen und geben ihm die Power von zwei CS-80 und noch mehr! Das Ergebnis ist eine massive Dual-Layer-Voicing-Architektur mit 16 polyphonen Voices pro Layer, die in der Lage ist, gleichzeitig zwei separate Sounds im Stil des CS-80 in einem Split- oder Stacked-Layer-Modus zu spielen, wenn sie mit den unabhängigen Layer-Lautstärke- und Panning-Reglern des GX-80 ergänzt werden.

Das GX-80 verfügt über einen Split-Keyboard-Modus und unterstützt sowohl polyphone als auch monophone Aftertouch-Controller, um eine möglichst ausdrucksstarke Performance zu ermöglichen. Cherry Audio hat außerdem eine neuartige "Last-Note-Priority"-Option zur Simulation der polyphonen Aftertouch-Reaktion mit einem monophonen Kanal-Aftertouch-Controller hinzugefügt.
