Traditionelles finnisches Zupfinstrument
Die in Finnland und Estland beheimatete Kantele ist ein traditionelles Zupfinstrument. Die Kantele gehört zur Familie der Zither und hat einen unverwechselbaren glockenartigen Klang und eine diatonische Stimmung. Diese Kantele hat fünf Saiten, die in G-A-B-C' und D' gestimmt sind.

Cinematique Instruments recorded the Kantele from scratch. Besides a more detailed and complex recording in terms of Round Robin variations and velocity layers, they recorded the Kantele with two complete different microphones: a dynamic Sennheiser MD 421 and, on the other hand, a condenser mic Neumann U-87. Furthermore, they added a reverse sample set to enrich the Kantele with a more artificial character – if you want. However, you can still hear and play some of the old samples by checking the articulation "Vintage ". This sample set was recorded some years ago, and it has another sound timbre which could make your Kantele sound more bright.
In 2022, Cinematique Instruments updated the Kantele to version 2.5. They have added new presets and effects and some new features, such as the Arp and the Recorder. Finally, they also created a new GUI to take the design to a new level.
