MultiDynamics ist ein leistungsstarker Multiband-Dynamikprozessor, der für Mastering, Track-Bearbeitung, Sound-Design und Rauschunterdrückung nützlich ist. MultiDynamics bietet bis zu 6 Bänder mit unabhängiger Kompression oder Expansion pro Band. MultiDynamics verfügt über eine elegante und ausgeklügelte Benutzeroberfläche, die das Bearbeiten von Bändern erleichtert.

Die Multiband-Dynamikbearbeitung kombiniert Equalizing mit Einzelband-Dynamikbearbeitung. Eine einfache Anwendung der Multiband-Dynamik ist die Applikation von Kompression oder Expansion auf einen bestimmten Frequenzbereich. Man kann sich Multiband-Dynamik auch als Anwendung eines Equalizers vorstellen, der vom Pegel des Eingangsklangs abhängig ist. So kann man eine EQ-Kurve für niedrige Lautstärken einrichten und eine andere EQ-Kurve für hohe Lautstärken einstellen.

Another use of multiband dynamics is noise reduction. One can set up multiple bands to do noise gating, by setting the gain to decrease when the signal falls below threshold. Also, multiband dynamics applied to solo instrument sounds can be used for sound design. It is possible to split up the sound into different frequency ranges, apply compression to some and expansion to others, and dramatically change the character of the original sound.
