Ample Sound Updates China Series

Ample Sound has updated its complete China Series to the latest platform generation. All instruments in the collection are now available as Version 4 or the current Version 4.1, introducing extensive workflow, interface, and performance improvements.

One of the major highlights is the new Riffer 4, which has been specifically adapted to the different instrument categories within the China Series.

Whether working with wind instruments, plucked strings, bowed instruments, or percussion, users can now create realistic phrases, articulations, legato passages, expression, and other performance techniques more intuitively than before.

Riffer 4 Brings More Realistic Instrument Programming

The redesigned Riffer 4 has been tailored to the unique requirements of traditional Chinese instruments, making it easier to create authentic performances and expressive musical passages.

As a result, composers and producers can achieve more natural-sounding results while benefiting from a faster workflow.

Redesigned Interface and Workflow Improvements

The entire China Series now features a modernized user interface with full support for high-resolution displays. New presets and demo phrases provide additional inspiration and make it easier to get started.

Ample Sound has also refined the underlying engine and workflow, improving overall usability, responsiveness, and creative flexibility.

Instrument-Specific Enhancements

Several instruments receive dedicated new features, including:

• Traditional Percussion with Multi-Out support
• Expanded expression and legato capabilities for Qudi, Dadi, Dongxiao, and Erhu
• New articulations for Pipa

These additions provide greater realism and control when working with traditional Chinese instruments.

New Instrument: Ample China Xun

Alongside the major update, Ample Sound is introducing an entirely new addition to the lineup. Ample China Xun is dedicated to the ancient Chinese Xun, an instrument with a history spanning more than 7,000 years.

The library includes 4.5 GB of samples, a wide range of articulations, and full integration with the new Riffer 4 system.
