UVI Falcon 2027: Four New Oscillators and more

UVI expands its hybrid synthesis and sampling platform with four new oscillators, ten additional effects, a new modulator and 140 extra presets. Falcon 2027 brings further creative options for producers and sound designers.

UVI continues to develop Falcon as a versatile environment for synthesis, sampling and instrument creation. Its semi-modular architecture combines a wide range of sound-generation methods with extensive modulation and audio processing. Falcon 2027 features 28 oscillators, more than 120 effects and over 1,700 factory presets.

Four New Sound Sources

The update introduces four new oscillators. West Folder brings West Coast-inspired synthesis with wavefolding and lowpass-gate capabilities. FM Explorer offers a three-operator FM engine with flexible timbral transitions.

Spectral Stretch allows users to manipulate pitch independently of playback duration, while MultiSample provides tools for building expressive multisampled instruments with velocity layers and round-robin variations.

Ten New Effects and Data Envelope

Falcon 2027 adds ten effects, including Lowpass Gate, Wavefolder, FET Compressor, Feedforward Compressor, Steiner Filter, Passive EQ, Analog BBD Delay and Analog BBD Chorus. New analysis tools further expand the processing options.

The new Data Envelope modulator extracts information such as pitch, RMS level, peak values or sample brightness and converts it into modulation curves. These can then be used to control parameters elsewhere in a patch, creating more responsive and evolving sounds.

Workflow Enhancements and New Expansions

The new Module TreeView makes complex patch structures easier to navigate. A redesigned oscillator picker with categories and icons, along with updated editors, helps streamline sound creation and editing. The update also adds 140 factory presets.

Three new Falcon Expansions—Particular, Savage 2 and West Fold—provide further sounds and inspiration for a variety of production styles.
