Now available: RayBlaster 3.5 Update

RayBlaster 3.5 is a major update for the Synth, introducing a substantial engine overhaul with significant improvements in sound quality, workflow, and factory content.

The update is free for all existing RayBlaster 3 users.

With version 3.5, users benefit from a refined audio engine, improved effects, enhanced factory sounds, UI optimizations, and multiple workflow improvements.

Enhanced Audio Engine & Sound Quality

The synthesis engine has been extensively revised to deliver noticeable sonic improvements across multiple samplerates.

Highlights include:

• Reduced aliasing by up to 12 dB at 22 kHz / 44 kHz
• Reduced aliasing by up to 20 dB at 88 kHz / 176 kHz
• Higher FFT precision and more accurate waveform resampling
• More precise oscillator impulse interpolation
• Several built-in effects have also been sonically enhanced, including multiple reverb algorithms and delay effects with reduced detuning.
• Reworked Factory Content
• The complete factory library has been revised and streamlined.

New in version 3.5:

• 50 new presets
• Many existing sounds improved and fine-tuned
• Better sound categorization
• Cleaner factory library focused on higher-quality content

New Features & Workflow Improvements

RayBlaster 3.5 also introduces several usability enhancements:

• Soundsets are now highlighted in blue inside the patch browser
• Tutorial patches are color-marked for easier identification
• Category scrollbar added to the patch browser
• New additional EQ: Soft Midrange in the Setup section

Improved Graphics & Interface

• The GUI has received several visual and performance improvements:
• Faster waveform, VU, and effect parameter animations
• More precise layout of knobs and interface elements
• Additional Enhancements & Fixes

Further improvements include:

• Better init patch defaults
• Improved default effect parameters
• Increased stability
• Smarter installer with VST3 installed by default
• Various small optimizations and fixes
• A rare crash related to automated oscillator functions on Windows has also been fixed.

Compatibility & Upgrade Information

RayBlaster 3.5 is fully downward compatible with all previous versions. Existing projects and patches can be loaded without any additional steps and automatically benefit from the improved sound quality.

Note:
Since the factory library has been reorganized extensively, uninstalling previous RayBlaster versions before installing v3.5 is recommended to avoid duplicate content.
