Hiding behind a simple interface, MAATgo is a powerful analytical tool. With more functions than most hardware monitor controllers, MAATgo gives you the ability to quickly check mono folddown plus isolated left/right channels as well as L minus R and potential phase pitfalls. It’s your early warning plug–in for additional safety checks to prevent downstream surprises with their associated lost time and revenue.

Features

MAATgo offers a range of channel controls, including balance adjustment and a goniometer. It provides stereo image and routing options such as sum, difference, swap, and polarity inversion for left, right, or both channels.

Five specialized monitoring modes are available: Solo, Left/Right soloing, MONO/DIFF, M/S rendering, and Mono mode for cancellation detection. Solo controls are easily accessible for checking placement and amplitude.

The L-R mode can be used for "karaoke" by removing mono content, allowing vocals to be reduced or eliminated. It's also useful for azimuth setup. Polarity inversion modes check signal integrity, while left-only and right-only controls offer a detailed stereo view.

The goniometer, or "phase scope," quickly reveals global trends and issues like frequency response and phase shift, with a visual out-of-phase warning. An optional autogain feature ensures clarity across input amplitudes. MAATgo offers user-friendly visualization options without taking up space in your rack, with customizable controls and presets.

Stream Through

MAATgo offers a standalone version that operates independently, without needing a DAW or plug-in host. This version allows advanced users to use MAATgo as a stream-through processor for dedicated metering, similar to hi-fi hardware separates. To use MAATgo standalone, you typically need a "virtual audio device," such as VB-Audio's HI-FI Cable for Windows or Existential Audio's BlackHole for macOS, both of which are free.
