Chris Hein Bass Crossgrade

I really like *** *** products. This is no exception. There is a great strength to the sounds. Very good sampling and many options (articulations).

Bought it for the acoustic basses during a Black Friday deal. Sounds are good, but it would benefit from an update (some studio grade eq, maybe). The cool thing for spicing up your midi-files and accompaniment files is the different playing styles it can automatically generate, the vibrato that is really lush and the string buzz which only adds to the realism. Strangely a low pass filter is the default setting. Makes the basses sound muffled. You can turn the feature off and it really opens up the bass sound. Sadly, there is sometimes too much “boom” and some lack of warmth. Could be fixed by someone who really knows eq-ing, but for the *** user like me, it’s not something I can fix. In essence: a *** good acoustic bass.
