Powerful Features

• Dual Filter - Dune 3's updated filter section offers a dual multimode filter in addition to an insert effect. Unlimited creative input is possible thanks to various routing options including serial/parallel and seamless blend via the Balance knob! Also included are zero-delay feedback filters that were created using Synapse Audio's most recent analog modeling technology. Additional insert effects, such as the formant/vowel filter or phaser, considerably expand the spectrum of sound design options for creative applications.

• Dual Arpeggiator - Dune 3's ability to create sound design is considerably enhanced by using two arpeggiator units rather than just one. The Arpeggiators can play back various sequences or even MIDI files and support both traditional Up/Down arps and independent programming. The arpeggiator is much more powerful than ever with to features like the Random mode and configurable Arp Hold!

• Improved Oscillators - Dune 3's powerful oscillator blocks are its driving force. Dune 3 supports Wavetable, FM, and VA synthesis. It is a real unison monster with a maximum reserve of 8320 oscillators at full polyphony, making it unlikely to ever run out of oscillators. The "Swarm" mode, an improvement on the classic Supersaw oscillator, becomes available in Dune 3. In this mode, each oscillator receives its own delicate modulation, giving the music far more life than was previously conceivable.

Effect Algorithms

Numerous effect algorithms are available in Dune 3 in various categories, including Distortion, Chorus, Phaser, EQ, Delay, and Reverb.

The revised Equalizer, which uses technology from Synapse Audio's GQ-7 Graphic Equalizer rack extender, is one of the most significant enhancements.

This equalizer, which was created for use in professional mixing and mastering, features four bands with excellent parametric and shelving EQs as well as two additional low- and high-cut filters with adjustable slopes. The EQ's filters are all built to tolerate modulation without producing artifacts, allowing for innovative uses outside the scope of conventional EQ applications.

The Shimmer Hall, a unique feature of Dune 3, is another fantastic effect algorithm and is perfect for luscious ambient sounds, beautiful pads, and leads!

Wavetable Editor

The Wavetable editor as introduced in Dune 3 is one of the most sophisticated ones available. Waveforms can be made via hand-drawing, using segments, a special partial editor, entering formulas, or all of the above. Several features, including morphing, fade in/out, normalize, DC removal, and invert/reverse, make it simple to create new wavetables. Waveforms and Wavetables are compatible with a variety of third-party software due to the fact that they can be imported and exported in WAV format.

WAV File Editor

Since version 3.4, Dune 3's sounds  can utilize WAV files. Oscillator 3 is used to do this. The loop region can be specified for the loaded WAV file. When loop is turned on, the chosen section is played repeatedly as long as a note is played. 16, 24, and 32-bit WAV files with sample rates ranging from 44.1 to 192 kHz, as well as mono and stereo WAV files, can be imported.
