Ambiences of Sri Lanka is a collection of authentic urban soundscapes recorded across cities and towns throughout Sri Lanka. The Library documents environments such as streets, markets, restaurants, public spaces, transportation hubs, and religious sites, capturing everyday life shaped by traffic, human activity, and cultural rituals.

The urban soundscape ranges from dense traffic with horns and tuk-tuks to lively markets filled with crowd activity, contrasted by calm temple spaces marked by ceremonial sounds and diffuse walla. Parks and natural areas provide a quieter counterpoint with birds and surrounding nature. Most recordings are delivered in ambisonic AmbiX format, with decoded stereo files included; a small number are stereo only due to discreet recording conditions. Created in collaboration with Sounds On Air, the recordings were captured during extensive travels across Asia and are suitable for film, documentary, games, immersive media, radio plays, and artistic projects.
