We still can't believe it ourselves — this year we're officially turning 35! Yay!

Best Service was officially founded in 1991, but our story actually started back around 1986 with the very first Akai S900 sampler. Our founder, Klaus Kandler — who also co-owned Munich's legendary "Music Shop" - started experimenting with sampling and put together his first libraries, small enough to fit on a single floppy disk. Those early experiments took off, and he decided to found Best Service as a "soundware company," focused on creating and distributing virtual sound generators, everything from samples to soft synths.
