Germanium Preamp with Classic 1960s Character

The BA-31 is a software recreation of a rare Germanium transistor preamp originally used in broadcasting and recording studios during the 1960s. Based on a vintage booster amplifier design, it delivers a distinctly colored sound that becomes increasingly saturated when driven harder. The plugin provides 40 dB of fixed gain and can be used with ribbon and dynamic microphones, for DI guitar recording or for adding vintage coloration to instrument groups and sub-mixes. Gain and Output Trim controls allow easy level adjustment within modern production workflows.
