The Ultimate Electric Grand Piano Experience
EGP is one of the most detailed and comprehensive electric grand piano instruments ever created. Inspired by the legendary Yamaha CP-70, it combines meticulous multi-sampling, advanced sound design possibilities, and an extraordinary level of sonic control in a single instrument.
Originally developed for touring musicians in the 1970s, the CP-70 became famous for its distinctive blend of acoustic piano character and electric amplification. Its unique sound found its way into countless recordings by artists including Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder, Keith Emerson, Genesis, Journey, Asia, Boston, and many others.
A Complete Electric Grand Studio
To faithfully capture every aspect of the original instrument, UVI recorded more than 10,000 samples across five independent audio channels. The direct electric signal was captured with premium Class A equipment, while multiple microphone configurations recorded the acoustic character in stunning detail. The result is an instrument that delivers exceptional realism, depth, and flexibility.
Creative Beyond Traditional Piano Sounds
EGP includes ten unique prepared piano styles, ranging from classic playing techniques to brushes, picks, bows, ebows, sticks, fingers, and more. Every articulation was carefully sampled with round robins, release samples, pedal noise, and sympathetic resonance, creating an exceptionally expressive playing experience.

Deep Sound Shaping Control
Each preparation provides five fully mixable audio sources, including the direct electric signal, stereo L/R microphones, and M/S microphone recordings. Independent effect chains, EQs, dynamics processing, and envelope controls for both acoustic and electric sections allow for virtually unlimited sound customization.
More than 100 expertly designed presets make it easy to explore the instrument's capabilities, while the intuitive interface provides quick access to all essential parameters.

Required Registration:
To use UVI products, you must register with the manufacturer at www.uvi.net. A free iLok account is also required for license activation. Download, installation, and product management are handled through the free UVI Portal.
This product requires an activation!
You can either "soft" activate on your computer without addditional hardware or transfer the license to an iLok USB dongle which has to be purchased separately. The iLok dongle can be used to run the protected software on different computers. Your licenses can be easily manged using the iLok Licence Manager. To protect your investment against theft or loss we recommend the iLok Zero Downtime protection with TLC.
An internet connection on any computer and a free user-accout at www.ilok.com is required to authorize the product.
