Cinematic Grand EKX - Unique sound textures, perfect for soundscapes, soundtracks and creative sound design

Simply put, the Cinematic Grand EKX could be described as a prepared piano - a traditional instrument that gets its modified sound from a wide variety of objects placed either on or between the strings. Only in this case, this description is far from sufficient. The Cinematic Grand EKX is a completely new hybrid instrument that combines perfect sound quality, heavily modified overtone structures as well as complex sound combinations in a piano instrument never seen before. Based on the high-quality foundation of a classic Bösendorfer grand piano from 1891, this unique instrument was recorded in 4 individual configurations. Once, every single string was bowed with a bow made of real horsehair. Another time, each individual string was struck with the bare hand. Once prepared with various modifications to obtain unique dampening of the sound, and in contrast another time so that the natural harmonics were deliberately amplified to realize a very shimmering airy sound.

These 4 basic sound configurations were then processed and enriched with a wide variety of complex effects chains to obtain fantastic and quite unusual sound textures. This is a piano far from its usual sound spectrum, perfectly suited for virtually any mood, atmosphere, story and creative sound design idea you can think of.

The ideal instrument for previously "unheard" sounds, a great inspiration for soundscapes, soundtracks and creative sound design.

Please note: This EKX sound library extension for EZkeys 2 is a so-called "Legacy EKX", as it was originally recorded as a former EZkeys 1 sound library. A "Legacy EKX" can be loaded and used in both the previous version EZkeys 1 and the current version EZkeys 2, unlike the soundlibrary extensions produced exclusively for EZkeys 2. Users who still use EZkeys 1 exclusively and do not want to switch to EZkeys 2 can still easily extend their existing EZkeys 1 with "Legacy EKXs".
