Electra 2 gehört klanglich sicherlich zu den vielseitigsten Synthesizer-Plug-ins am Markt. Zahlreiche Presets und eine mächtige Sound-Engine bieten ein enormes Klangspektrum und ein nahezu unerschöpfliches Klangpotential. Auch optisch kann das Produkt gefallen und die Bedienung lässt außer einer Solofunktion für die einzelnen Layer nichts zu wünschen übrig. In Anbetracht dieser Leistung erscheint der Preis von 149 Euro absolut gerechtfertigt. Damit ist Electra 2 als All-in-One-Synthesizer-Workstation ein heißer Tipp und für Aufsteiger und Profis gleichermaßen dringend empfehlenswert.

Fazit
Tone2 macht mit seinem Software-Synthesizer Electra2 alles richtig und setzt mit Version 2 noch einmal einiges mit drauf. Man bekommt ein erfrischend intuitives und perfekt durchdachtes Plug-in, das irgendwie in allen Punkten alles richtig macht.
Electra2 ist ein hybrider Synthesizer für Klangtüftler. Mit ihm sind sehr experimentelle Sounds möglich. Es ist eine Meisterleistung, so viele Möglichkeiten in einer überschaubaren Oberfläche zu vereinen. Denn die Oberfläche vermeidet es trotz aller Möglichkeiten, kompliziert zu sein. Es ist alles da, alles ist sofort sichtbar und wer doch mal Fragen hat, nutzt einfach die Hilfefunktion im Menü. Sounds sind schnell zusammengedreht. Electra2 ist so logisch, dass man sogar als Anfänger sofort durchsteigt. Sogar die Modulations-Matrix ist selbsterklärend.
Die Sounddesigner der Patches machen eine großartige Arbeit. Sie sollten in einigen Fällen nur auf die Effekte verzichten, damit man hören kann, dass die Sounds trocken immer noch sehr überzeugend klingen. Hall hat ja leider auch den Ruf, immer ein wenig zu kaschieren. Und das ist hier überhaupt nicht nötig.
Auch positiv überraschend war die Stabilität und die geringen Systemanforderungen. Die Software läuft auf einem 6 Jahre alten Macbook, das sich dabei nicht überfordert fühlt. Hinzu kommt der freundliche Support, den man auch über die Tone2 Facebook-Seite bekommt. Besonders reizvoll für mich ist, dass Tone2 generell auf die Lizenz-Key Schiene verzichtet und Electra2 somit einiges an Komfort gewinnt.
