Dark Sonic Worlds of Ritual, Atmosphere, and Motion

Elements Silentium is not a conventional sample library, but a deeply programmable cinematic instrument for composers and sound designers. Organic textures, expressive strings, ritual voices, folk instruments, percussion, acoustic gestures, and hybrid motion form the foundation for atmospheric scores with character, depth, and narrative tension.

Silentium is designed for music that requires more than isolated sounds, creating complete moods and sonic worlds instead. From dark folk landscapes and ancestral rituals to monumental fantasy, intimate moments, and emotional scenes, its range extends from subtle and fragile to massive, restless, and unsettling.

More than 600 ready-to-play presets provide immediate starting points for inspiration. Behind them is an extensive collection of 24-bit / 48 kHz sample material featuring intimate strings, breathy woodwinds, unusual acoustic instruments, ritual vocals, characterful pianos, earthy percussion, and organic textures.

GUI 1

Three Layers for Building Your Own Sonic Worlds

At the heart of the instrument is the Silentium Designer with three independently controllable layers. Each layer offers separate control over source selection, key range, envelope, filter, tuning, pan, and performance behavior. This allows presets to be reshaped far beyond their original form or used as the foundation for entirely new sound combinations.

Each layer also includes Space, three-band EQ, compression, and modeled color processing. Four host-synchronized Macro Tables distributed across Macro 1 and Macro 2 provide extensive possibilities for movement and modulation within a sound.

GUI 2

Motion, Rhythm, and Controlled Chaos

A multi-layer arpeggiator provides independent patterns for the individual layers, eight storable pattern slots, clipboard exchange, and automatic Pattern Chaining. This makes it possible to transform static sound sources into complex rhythmic structures and constantly evolving textures.

The Entropy Strum and Grain systems expand the instrument with chord spreading and granular transformations. Organic source material can be fragmented, rearranged, and transformed into atmospheric motion, hybrid textures, or abstract soundscapes.

Voices as Musical Material

Separate Builder instruments for Male Choir, Solo Female, and Solo Male allow custom vocal phrases to be constructed. An additional Vocal Phrases instrument provides control over tempo, pitch, legato, release, and XY-based effects.

This makes the vocal material suitable not only for traditional choir textures, but also for intimate, fragmented, and ritualistic sonic worlds.

GUI 3

From Fragility to Monumental Scale

Silentium is deliberately built around contrast. Pianos and strings can support quiet, fragile, and emotional moments, while voices, percussion, and organic textures can push the same production toward darker, more primal, or threatening territory.

This broad range makes the instrument especially suitable for film, games, trailers, and modern scoring, where atmosphere and musical development need to work as one.
