Handy Drums Reggae Standard is an award-winning sampled drum virtual instrument for music production. Meticulously sampled Reggae drums are easy to use, affordable and sound great right out of the box. The self-contained plugin has a built-in sampler (no 3rd party samplers needed). Included drums are "album ready", pre-mixed in a Reggae genre, and come with up to 10 dynamic levels and 12 round-robins (samples per dynamic level).

Equipped with a clean, simple, intuitive GUI that offers essential functionalities such as volume control of individual components, drum mapping, routing, audition buttons, MIDI and driver settings, and a CC4 curve editor for e-drummers. Big, snappy, and punchy drums specially engineered to emulate sounds of legendary Reggae albums yet equally at home at Ska, Roots, Rocksteady, and much more.

The kick is full and rounded with a clear and pleasant warm attack. The piccolo snare used for the Reggae snare sample is tuned high and tight and cuts through without sounding the least harsh. Toms are single-headed with a very short sustain. Also included are a small auxiliary snare drum and percussion sounds of woodblocks, cabasa, shakers, glass bottles, tambourine, cowbell, and triangle, making this one of the most comprehensive sampled Reggae drums around. Special attention was given to capturing natural dry room ambiance with top-of-the-line Earthworks microphones.

• Round Robin - Up to 12 samples per dynamic level - When a drummer hits a drum, each subsequent stroke is ever so slightly different from the one preceding, no matter how consistently they are played. That’s why our ear can instantly tell the difference between a roll played by a real drummer and a single sample being looped by a computer. Each component has been recorded numerous times at every dynamic level. During playback, no sample is repeated sequentially, but a different sample is triggered.

• 24bit Sample Depth - All Handy Drums samples are captured in 24bit wav format for the ultimate resolution and sound quality.

• Immaculately-Sampled Acoustic Drums - To achieve larger-than-life yet completely natural-sounding drums, every step of the sampling process is as important. For example, this can include drum and skin selection, tuning, damping, room positioning, mic positioning, mic choice, etc.. to name but a few.
