Icicles & Pop Ice are two distinct string instruments that deliver a bright, crystalline tone, thanks to their highly tensioned short strings and rigid stainless-steel sheet soundboard. Icicles features 26 short string segments, each resonating with the soundboard for a pure, shimmering sound that evolves with every pluck. Pop Ice adds a Styrofoam sheet in direct contact with the strings, creating a sharp, percussive pop followed by the sustained resonance of the stainless-steel sheet, offering a dynamic contrast in tone.
