Atmos Bus Processing Plugin

Immersive Wrapper is an innovative tool that transforms Waves mono plugins into multichannel processors, solving the challenge of bus processing in immersive formats like ATMOS. By enabling immersive bus setups with Waves plugins, it introduces a shared internal sidechain system for mix-wide dynamics processing.

One key issue in immersive mixing is the absence of a traditional bus, making it difficult to achieve cohesive mix glue. Immersive Wrapper addresses this by hosting any mono-to-mono Waves plugin in channel configurations ranging from mono to 9.1.6. It applies the plugin across all channels in a multichannel track using a ‘multi-mono’ setup, allowing linked controls for synchronized operation. Flexible linking options enable precise control across groups like surrounds or tops.

For dynamics plugins, shared internal sidechains streamline immersive mix compression. Developed with immersive audio experts Hans-Martin Buff and Yaron Fuchs, Immersive Wrapper unlocks Waves’ plugin catalog for detailed and flexible use in immersive audio mixing.
