Lucid by Minimal Audio is a creative multi-effects plugin that combines granular processing with delay, filtering, modulation, stereo imaging, harmonization, and rhythmic effects. Vocals, synths, drums, or loops are broken down into tiny grains and transformed into new harmonies, rhythms, and evolving textures.

Always in Key

One of Lucid's standout features is Grain Scale Lock. The pitch of each individual grain is detected in real time and retuned to your selected key. This lets you transpose, modulate, and harmonize audio while keeping even more extreme transformations musically in tune.

With the integrated Chord and Arp modes, grains can be stacked into rich harmonies or stepped through a scale to create evolving sequences. This makes it easy to turn simple source material into complex chords, arpeggios, and melodic textures.

Moves with Your Track

Thanks to Timeline Sync, Lucid's granular processing stays tightly connected to your project. It can sync to the grid, snap to transients, or let you stretch, reverse, and scrub through captured audio in real time. Create precise stutters, rhythmic repeats, and evolving textures that stay locked to your arrangement.

Every Grain Under Control

Filter, Delay, and Stereo Imaging operate directly on individual grains, enabling complex movement and spatial effects. Lucid also features a comprehensive modulation system with macros, LFOs, Curve Sequencers, and Envelope Followers.

For further processing, a flexible effects rack provides eight effect types across up to twelve slots. The animated XY pad lets you control multiple parameters simultaneously, making complex and evolving transformations easy to perform with a single movement.
