The Mandolin is a small string instrument - it is a flat back soprano Mandolin from Ireland. It is tuned like a violin in G-D-A-E.

The primary focus was creating a Mandolin instrument that delivers a natural and organic feel. The instrument provides two different plucking sounds. Furthermore, the Mandolin is equipped with a powerful and organic tremolo feature. This tremolo feature allows you to easily play the Mandolin in the typical "tragic "tremolo style. In addition to that, Cinematique Instruments programmed a strumming engine which performs patterns based on the pressed keys. This is best suitable for accompanying your song or music.

Update Note: With the update 1.5 Cinematique Instruments added presets and some new features (like Arp) and effects. They have also taken the design to a new level.

The instrument provides two different plucking sounds, "Plec"and "Finger", as well as "Vintage" and a "Strummed" articulation. All of those are equipped with a compelling and organic tremolo feature which allows you to easily play the Mandolin in the typical "tragic "tremolo style. In addition to that, CI programmed a strumming engine which performs patterns based on the pressed keys. This is best suitable for accompanying your song or music. It is effortless to use - you only need to draw your pattern in the sequencer and flip between dead notes and open strokes - that's it. But you are also free to strum manually by selecting the 'strummed' articulation. Finally, we added some editing and FX features that let you shape the general sound and use different reverb types. The Mandolin is an instrument that allows you easily and quickly play to your music and enriches it with a natural and organic feel.
