The New York L bundle offers a unique exploration of piano diversity by sampling two pianos of the same model but from different eras: one built in 1926 and the other in 1991. The NYL 1926 embodies the resonant character that age provides, while the NYL 1991 retains the pristine, clean sound characteristic of its manufacturer. The Model L, just under 6 feet long, departs from the typical 9-foot grand piano, providing a more intimate and character-rich sound ideal for recording in smaller rooms. The bundle offers choices through multiple microphone perspectives, allowing users to tailor the piano sound, from close mics for intimacy to room mics capturing the entire instrument. With added reverb and a 6-band Equalizer, the New York L bundle provides a comprehensive toolkit for achieving the desired piano sound.
