The Legendary Oberheim Matrix-12
GForce Oberheim Matrix-12 brings one of the most remarkable analog synthesizers ever created into the software world with exceptional authenticity. Developed in collaboration with Oberheim and Marcus Ryle, one of the original Matrix-12 designers, its oscillators, envelopes, and legendary 15-mode filter were carefully modeled against the original hardware.
Used by artists including Vangelis, Depeche Mode, The Orb, and Technotronic, the Matrix-12 became famous for huge pads, evolving textures, powerful basses, and sweeping analog sounds. The software version preserves that unmistakable character while making the extraordinary modulation depth of the original far easier to explore.

Each of its twelve voices features two VCOs, five envelopes, five LFOs, four ramps, three trackers, and a lag processor. Almost any modulation source can control any destination. Drag-and-drop modulation, up to six modulation slots per parameter, and clear visual feedback make even highly complex sound design intuitive.
Flow displays the complete audio and modulation path of each voice in real time. The Mod Matrix presents every connection in a sortable and editable grid, while visualisers, scopes, filter curves, and envelope displays provide immediate feedback throughout the instrument.
In Multi Mode, the twelve voices can be distributed across up to six overlapping keyboard zones, each with its own voice allocation, MIDI channel, and micro arpeggiator. Relative Edit, Copy, Paste, and Lock make complex layered sounds and multi-timbral setups much easier to manage.

Modern additions including full MPE, four global Macros, tempo-synced ramps, stepped trackers, stereo delay, and matrix reverb expand the instrument without losing the spirit of the original.
