Octagon – Arpeggiated Layers with Depth and Precision
Octagon is a meticulously crafted sound pack by sound designer Daniel Stawczyk (aka Status), created for AAS Chromaphone. It delivers 149 arpeggiated, layered presets that explore the full expressive range of the instrument—from bold, richly textured statements to refined, delicate gestures.
The collection spans arpeggiated synths, pads, basses, chords, stabs, evolving flows, percussions, chimes, and angular special effects. Each preset is carefully balanced for depth, richness, and musical sensibility, offering both immediacy and nuance. Whether you’re building rhythmic motion, subtle harmonic movement, or striking sonic accents, Octagon provides a focused yet diverse palette designed to spark ideas quickly and reliably.
Originally created with Chromaphone 2 and remastered for Chromaphone 3, the pack now includes added performance macros for enhanced playability and expression. Octagon works seamlessly in Chromaphone 3 and Chromaphone 2, and can also be played via the free AAS Player, making it flexible for any setup.
About the sound designer
Daniel Stawczyk is a Polish sound designer known as Status. He has released over 30 sound packs for numerous software manufacturers and is recognized for his refined, musical approach to sound design.
