iZotope Photon is a standalone application and ARA2 plug-in for fast stem separation, audio restoration, and dialogue enhancement. Twelve custom-trained machine learning models help split finished mixes, remove unwanted noise, balance levels, and isolate individual voices from complex recordings.

Processing runs locally on your GPU, so your audio never needs to be uploaded to the cloud. There are no queues, usage cutoffs, or interruptions. Simply load a file, choose the model that matches the task, adjust the processing strength, and preview the result instantly from anywhere in the clip.

Break Finished Mixes Back into Individual Elements

Photon provides dedicated models for a wide range of separation tasks. Music 4 Stems splits songs into vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments, while Music 4 Stems Ultra provides more precise separation when an individual stem needs to stand on its own. Drum recordings can be separated into kick, snare, hi-hat, toms, and cymbals.

For film and content production, Cinema 4 Stems separates audio into dialogue, music, sound effects, and other elements. Voice Separator can even split conversations with up to six speakers into individual voices while also isolating room tone and background sound.

Clean Up Dialogue and Difficult Recordings

Dedicated cleanup models are available for common recording situations. Background noise, room ambience, traffic, and wind can be reduced without requiring complex restoration settings or detailed technical diagnosis.

Voice Restore is designed for problematic speech recordings and can address noise, level, microphone tone, and echo to bring dialogue forward with improved clarity and intelligibility.

Work Directly Inside Your DAW with ARA2

The included Photon ARA2 plug-in brings the complete processing engine directly into compatible DAWs. Because ARA provides access to the entire audio clip, Photon can work with the full context of the recording. Multiple models can be used within a project and compared quickly.

The integrated Model Manager also makes it easy to install new and improved processing models as they become available without reinstalling Photon.
