*Upgrade from Pro-C 2 to Pro-C 3
FabFilter Pro-C 3 is a comprehensive upgrade of the proven Pro-C 2, taking sound quality, flexibility and workflow to a new level. The third generation expands the classic FabFilter compressor with new algorithms, creative sound-shaping options and modern production standards such as immersive surround and Dolby Atmos processing. At the same time, the familiar workflow remains intact while becoming faster and more streamlined in many details.
What’s new in Pro-C 3?

New compression algorithms: Pro-C 3 introduces six brand-new styles: Versatile, Smooth, Upward, TTM, Op-El and Vari-Mu. These enable true upward compression as well as combined upward and downward dynamics, covering a sonic range from ultra-transparent to distinctly characterful.

Character modes with analog saturation: New Character modes add targeted analog coloration to your signal. Tube, Diode and Bright characters provide warmth, presence or edge, including adjustable Drive and pre/post routing.

Advanced side-chain EQ: The side-chain EQ is now based on Pro-Q filter shapes and includes all-pass and brickwall filters, extremely steep slopes up to 96 dB/oct, and flexible multiband filtering for precise dynamics control.

Immersive surround and Dolby Atmos®: Pro-C 3 adds full support for surround and Dolby Atmos productions up to 9.1.6. Extensive linking options allow precise control over Center, Sides, Tops and LFE channels.

Improved sound quality with oversampling: Oversampling up to 32x significantly reduces aliasing, even with fast, aggressive compression settings or heavy use of Character saturation.

New interface and optimized workflow: The modernized interface features animated level meters, optional knee visualization and a compact layout for focused work. The new preset browser enables fast searching, tagging, favorites and easy copy/paste of settings between instances.

New trigger and control options: Pro-C 3 introduces host-tempo-synced pulse triggering, expanded MIDI triggering, and improved Auto Gain and Auto Release functions for more consistent results.
