Reel to Reel – Raw Tape Character Unleashed
Reels is a tape emulation plugin with built in echo section and authentic tape start and tape stop effects. Inspired by a vintage Japanese portable reel to reel recorder, it captures the distinct Lo Fi analog tone and mechanical imperfections of aging consumer tape machines.
Three modeled 1/4 inch tape frequency responses and saturations recreate everything from worn out to new old stock tapes. Expect harsh mid range distortion, wow and flutter, drops, crosstalk, hiss, and motor noise. Reels delivers a rough retro analog sound for creative mixing, not Hi Fi mastering polish.
