Soundscapes is a universally useful sound library, which consist mainly of dreamy moods, with smooth harmonies and off axis accents. The moods are an excellent fit for the needs of scoring, game audio, temp tracks, trailers, songs, audio logos, advertising, websites and of course as background music.

Each of the 24 Construction Kits consists of an intro, outro and a main mix. Furthermore all parts used to create the main mix are available for individual selection and every single element within a part is further broken down. With the flexible Elastik engine, you can easily mix and modify several of the 809 single-stems at once to create on-the-fly complete new moods.

Structure / Blueprint
Each construction kit is grouped into several subfolders:
• Intro/Outro: Here you can find the matching intro/outro track for the construction kit.
• Main Kit: Includes the main theme, with all of its sounds and phrases.
• Drum Shots: The single-shots are gathered in this folder, making it easy to find all percussive sounds used to make additional drumming and percussive rhythms.

Navigation / Workflow
The given structure and features like labeled key signature and tempo information, makes it as easy as possible to find a song or groove that will match your tracking needs and goals. Additionally the Elastik Player offers you a lot of DSP functions to adjust the songs to further fit your productions / creations.

Soundscapes setzt wie die meisten Ueberschall Elastik-Libraries auf den schnellen Einsatz durch die Bereitstellung von Construction-Kits. Die 24 Kits bestehen aus einem Main-Teil, der um Intro und Outro ergänzt wird. Der Main-Bereich liegt dabei in einem gesonderten Ordner. Der Grundtenor ist recht poppig mit leichten Anleihen aus dem Bereich Trance. Der Sound ist insgesamt synthesizerlastig mit starken Modulations- und Halleffekten.

Die Construction-Kits bestehen durchschnittlich aus zehn Elementen, die alle auch als einzelne Loops vorliegen. So lassen sich schnell Variationen erstellen und individuelle Abmischungen vornehmen. Mit gelayerten Flächen, simplen Melodien und den obligatorischen Effektklängen mit langer Hallfahne entsteht hier meist eine Stimmung, die an das Genre Dream Dance erinnert. So ist Soundscapes von vorneherein eher auf die Anwendung in der Musikproduktion und weniger auf traditionelles Scoring ausgelegt. Und in diesem Kontext funktioniert die 2,7 GB große Library dann auch überzeugend.
