Thunder Springs is a powerful collection of over 450 rare and heavily designed instruments and multis, created entirely from recordings of Spring Drums and Thunder Tubes. These unique percussion instruments produce deep, cinematic tones that sit somewhere between thunder, gong, and didgeridoo – perfect for modern film scoring and hybrid sound design.
Instead of using traditional recording methods, Sample Logic pushed the material far beyond its original form. Using unconventional techniques like hammers, chains, saws, and extreme spring manipulation, they created a vast palette of aggressive, organic and evolving textures that go far beyond standard percussion libraries.
At its core, Thunder Springs transforms acoustic source material into a massive hybrid engine for cinematic scoring, delivering both playable instruments and deeply mangled sound design tools.
