Antidrum III

Antidrum III is a mighty compendium of experimental multi-sampled percussion, melodic sustaining and special effects instruments, created from a vast catalogue of field recordings, found sounds, prepared objects, unique surfaces and noisy contraptions.

It’s an extraordinarily powerful toolbox of musical paint, spanning a full spectrum with everything from rich bass tones and boomers to tight clicks, clacks, zings, clanks and zips. But don’t let the name fool you — Antidrum 3 covers much more than just percussive content. We’ve captured electronics, tonally resonant surfaces, alarms, appliances, electric toothbrushes, elevators, cattle, giant plate glass windows and all manner of other things to get some awesome melody-making sonic flavors as well.

We captured each of these sounds over a 3-year period throughout our many travels around California and Texas, picking up everything from the mundane yet startlingly musical things you’d find around the house to unique one-of-a-kind sounds we discovered out in the field. Open your mind and this library can take you anywhere you want to go.

The library comes equipped with flexible control features, like attack, release, transient offset, dynamic swelling, filter sweep and a robust Arpeggiator system that provides a full range of custom pattern generation options. There’s also a complete DSP effects rack, including convolution reverb with dozens of unique spaces, such as cathedrals, churches, halls, bunkers, garages, tunnels, chambers, rooms and plenty of otherworldly FX impulses to fully explore and endless variety of strange and unexpected sonic manipulations. It contains 4221 samples, over 3GB of high quality content and 24 master presets for Kontakt, each with key-switchable menu selection from a range of different sound bank options for each main category. The creative possibilities are endless!

This library is designed for the full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.1 or later. Kontakt is an industry-standard advanced virtual instrument / software sampler platform.

This is a standard Kontakt open-format library, so the free Kontakt Player doesn't support this open-format Kontakt library. However, the sample directories are fully accessible to allow user customization, import and mapping into other wav-compatible software, sampler and synth formats. The special Libraries tab doesn't support this open-format Kontakt library, but you can use the standard File browser tab, or import this library into the Kontakt database and Quickload tools for easy navigation, loading and organization.
