Dynamic Range Processor
The DRP2a mkII Stereo Dynamic Range Processor is a plugin emulation of the mid-1990s Rocksonics Professional Audio hardware unit. Packed with bonus features exclusive to the plugin, it functions as a versatile "Swiss Army Knife" for dynamic processing, handling compression, expansion, gating, limiting, clipping, de-essing, ducking, pumping, and more. With program-dependent RMS level detectors, it delivers smooth, low-distortion results.
The plugin mirrors the original hardware's controls, offering Ratio (10:1 compression to 1:1.9 expansion), Threshold, Makeup Gain, and Release speed. Additional features include Side Chain Input, Look Ahead, De-Essing emphasis control, oversampled output Clipper/Limiter, and Wet/Dry Mix.
The DRP2a intelligently switches between mono and stereo tracks to optimize CPU usage, making it an ideal compressor/gate and dynamic FX processor for mixing.
