Dry drums don’t hide behind ambience – they breathe and speak with raw, unfiltered intimacy, as if right at the edge of your ear. If you want muffled, punchy, and absolutely dead – yet unmistakably alive – drum sounds, this EZX for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 delivers exactly that.

Featuring four carefully curated kits, the Dry EZX spans a wide sonic range – from earthy and warm to snappy and slightly pingy. Recorded in a small, low-ceiling room with thick drapes lining the walls, ambience was stripped to a minimum. The result: viscerally tight kits that sound like you’re inches from the drums.

For selected kits, two drummers were seated opposite each other, striking their own kick, snare, toms, and hi-hats simultaneously across every velocity layer. The natural flams and organic imperfections add rich, layered sounds – perfect for subtle variation that punches up your grooves.

A collection of mix-ready presets for each kit, plus basic, backbeat-centric grooves, lets you hit the ground running on your next song.

Ideal for both subtle singer-songwriter and indie tracks as well as edgy beats and modern pop, this EZX delivers close, focused, and absolutely unfiltered drum magic.
