Real-world plots of each noise shape are included, generated by LINpro's dither engine. Despite reducing the word length to 16 bits, LIN preserves up to the 19th bit of the input signal, embedding it in the resulting 16-bit word. Dithering is fundamental in DAWs, ensuring distortion-free audio by embedding program content in the noise floor. Use dithering to make digital audio sound less "digital"!
